The municipality is looking for worthy recipients of the Chatham-Kent Senior Achievement Award.
The stated purpose of the Chatham-Kent Senior Achievement Award is to “recognize and honour outstanding senior volunteers who have achieved significant goals and have made outstanding contributions to the citizens of Chatham-Kent, without any purpose of personal gain.”
Nominations can be made by any person or organization wishing to recognize seniors in their area, and the nominations will be reviewed by an impartial selection committee, according to municipal officials.
All nominations receive a certificate of achievement, and one nominee will be named the Chatham-Kent Senior of the Year.
The presentations will be made at the Chatham-Kent Seniors’ Fair on June 13 at the Blenheim Recreation Centre.
