Chatham-Kent CAO Don Shropshire introduced a familiar face to council as the new CEO and chief librarian with the Chatham-Kent Public Library.
“I couldn’t be happier to welcome her,” Shropshire said, in regards to the appointment of Tania Sharpe to her new position.
Shropshire said Sharpe has been working in the Chatham-Kent library system since amalgamation, and has been “instrumental” in a variety of initiatives over the years.
“I’m really excited to accept this challenge,” Sharpe said. “The format may be changing, but the demand for our services isn’t.”
Sharpe replaced the former library boss, Kathryn Goodhue.
