Much of Chatham’s the downtown core will be closed off in sections overnight tonight, as Public Works crews will come in to scoop up all the excess snow that’s piled up in recent winter storms.
Starting at 1:30 a.m., crews will begin removing the piles of snow along King Street West. While that road is closed to vehicular traffic, Wellington is the detour street.
Once King is done, Wellington will be closed and snow removed.
The operation is to be completed before 7 a.m. Wednesday morning.
