Information trickled out a week later, but Chatham-Kent police report one of their own was involved in an accident Dec. 31 and will face disciplinary action.
Police say about 7:40 a.m., a police officer was responding to a call in the Dresden area. The vehicle slid through a slick intersection, Brown and Centre streets, and was hit on the driver’s side by an oncoming vehicle.
There were no injuries and the damage is estimated at $15,000.
