Employment, entrepreneurship and education are three keys to attracting and retaining people in Chatham-Kent, said Audrey Ansell, manager of resident attraction and retention.
Ansell said a new baCK project is being launched to run and coincide with times when former residents are coming back to C-K; holidays and summer vacation.
She added the goal of the project is to encourage former residents to reconsider moving back, showcase to youth that it is possible to leave and come back, and acknowledge people who have come back and succeeded.
Ansell said a promotional video has been created to promote the baCK initiative, and a 30-second commercial is set to air before movies this holiday season at the Cineplex in Chatham.
