After being closed for more than two months for repairs, the Downtown Chatham Centre (DCC) parkade is once again open to the public.

The parkade closed in early September for repair work, forcing mall customers to seek alternative parking nearby. The DCC purchased the former Bunsmaster property on the other side of Wellington Street to help ease congestion during the parkade’s closure.

“We’re very happy to have this costly work completed in time for the busy Christmas season.” said DCC general manager Lynn O’Brien in a press release. “We acknowledge that it has caused some inconvenience, however, the safety of our customers and their automobiles was paramount to our decision for the repairs.”
