The Zonta Club of Chatham-Kent will hold a demonstration on the Third Street Bridge Nov. 25 to show support to end violence against women.
The demonstration, which begins at 12:15 p.m., coincides with the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Towards Women.
The club hopes to help raise awareness and deliver the message that violence against women is unacceptable.
“The Zonta Says No campaign is empowering women to stand up against violence,” Wanda Bell, a Zonta member, said in a press release.
Anyone wishing to take part is asked to wear orange. Signs and ribbons will be provided.
