Vandals destroyed seven saplings over the weekend in Chatham.
According to Paul Roy of the Chatham Sunrise Rotary Club, the trees are part of 20 planted three years ago along the Sunrise Rotary Club Trail on Grand Avenue West. He said Union Gas volunteers helped plant the pear saplings as replacements for trees that didn’t survive after a planting in early 2000 in the area.
The club hopes to replace the downed trees as soon as possible, Roy said.
I think the culprits should have a few of those saplings snapped across their bare ass several hundred times.
