The Prosperity Roundtable kicks off Poverty Awareness Week Oct. 15 with a flag raising at the Civic Centre in Chatham at 11:30 a.m.
The group will then hold an open house at the Chatham-Kent Public Library from noon to 2 p.m.
The roundtable is a multi-sector community group dedicated to reducing poverty and building the community’s capacity to enhance the quality of life for all citizens of Chatham-Kent, according to a press release.
Other library open houses take place Oct. 16 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Wheatley and Oct. 17 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in Wallaceburg.
The open houses include free food, swag bags and raffle prizes.
