A Cottam woman faces charges after Chatham-Kent OPP pulled over a driver on Park Avenue this morning and tests showed she had more than three times the legal limit of alcohol in her system.
OPP say a motorist on the 401 called in to tell police another driver had nearly caused a collision on the eastbound 401 near Merlin Townline. The vehicle left the 401 at Bloomfield Road, and officers stopped the car on Park Avenue.
Police say the driver had open alcohol as well. A roadside test indicated the driver had more than three times the legal limit.
I've been to too many alcohol related tragedies to have much if any sympathy. When you hear that terrible heart broken wailing and see it before you because a child, parent, spouse, sibling is never coming home again your views on these serious crime harden considerably.
