A fast ride turned into trouble for a man early this morning.

Chatham-Kent OPP clocked a car doing 165 km/h eastbound on Highway 401 near Harwich Road shortly after midnight. Police pulled the vehicle over, determined there was pot in the vehicle and suspected the driver had been drinking.

Police say the officer seized a small amount of marijuana, while a roadside test yielded a warning.

A 19-year-old Ridgetown man faces charges of possession of marijuana, stunt driving, and having a blood alcohol content above zero while having a G2 licence.
