A Wallaceburg man faces intimate partner violence charges following a Wednesday morning disturbance.
Officers investigated and determined a Wallaceburg woman, 42, had been assaulted and threatened.
Police say witnesses reported hearing shouting and sounds of distress before approaching the residence, where they observed the suspect making aggressive threats.
Officers found the suspect in a parked vehicle nearby.
Further investigation revealed that the accused was bound by multiple probation orders, which included conditions with the victim and prohibiting the accused from being within 100 metres her home, work, or school.
The individual had previously been convicted of assault and uttering threats, with ongoing conditions still in effect.
A Wallaceburg man, 35, is charged with assault and uttering threats to cause bodily harm.
