Chatham Voice reader Dan Kelly is looking to get this photo in the proper hands. He said it came from his family home on Murray Street in Chatham.
The image, and its frame, sat in the attic in that home for decades.
Kelly has been to Gathering Our Heroes and the Royal Canadian Legion and so far has struck out trying to identify this unknown soldier and getting the photo and frame to the man’s descendants.
All that we know is on the back of the photo is written, “Mrs. Harrington. Colour this photo. Cost: $3.25 paid.” Also, in the lower right of the photo is “Johnston Chatham.”
