Man charged with aggravated assault
On Wednesday, police began investigating a report of an aggravated assault.
A day later, they had a suspect in custody.
Police issued a warrant for the arrest of that suspect, and on Thursday morning, they heard from the OPP that the man had been spotted in his vehicle in Moraviantown.
A 46-year-old Camden Township man is charged with assault with a weapon, aggravated assault, and uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm.
Woman spotted running in middle of street
Late Thursday morning, police received a report of a woman running in the middle of an intersection in Dresden.
Officers attended and located the woman, who police say they recognized.
While checking on her wellbeing, officers also learned that there was outstanding warrant for failing to attend court.
A 42-year-old Chatham-Kent woman was arrested on the strength of the warrant and was provided a new court date.
Woman charged with assault
In what police are saying is a case of intimate partner violence, a Chatham woman faces charges following an incident Thursday night.
Police were called about 11 p.m. to a Lorne Avenue address.
Officers learned a woman had been arguing with a man, and the talking got physical when she assaulted him, police say.
A 44-year-old Chatham woman is charged with one count of assault, and one count of assault with a weapon.
B&E on Llydican
Chatham-Kent police could use a hand in determining who broke into a home on Llydican Avenue sometime overnight between Wednesday and Thursday.
Someone got into the enclosed porch and a vehicle parked in the driveway. Police say the thief made off with about $200 worth of items.
This investigation is still ongoing.
