Want to make a difference in the health of your community? Now’s your chance as Chatham-Kent is seeking citizen volunteers to sit on the Chatham-Kent Public Board of Health.
The current recruitment campaign is seeking individuals to begin a four-year term starting Jan. 1, 2025. According to a municipal media release, a seat on the board offers a “unique opportunity for those passionate about public health to make a meaningful impact on the well-being of the people of Chatham-Kent.”
Each position allows volunteers to contribute their expertise, collaborate with like-minded people, and engage in strategic decision-making.
In order to apply, candidates must be 18 years or older and either own or be a tenant of a property in Chatham-Kent. The application form can be found online at ckpublichealth.com/board-of-health or can be picked up at a municipal service centre. Completed applications must be received by Aug. 8 in order to be considered.
