A Chatham man faces charges after Chatham-Kent police say someone made inappropriate physical contact with two people on separate occasions near Mud Creek in Chatham.
On June 9, about 11:30 a.m., police were called for the first sexual assault investigation. They learned a young man approached a female youth and touched her in an inappropriate manner, police say.
Eight days later, at about 3:15 p.m., officers were again called to Mud Creek for an identical investigation. This time, the victim was an adult woman.
Police investigated, identified their suspect, and made an arrest Tuesday.
A Chatham man, 19, is charged with sexual interference and two counts of sexual assault.
