Grand Theft Motorcycle

A local man has to answer to charges after someone stole a motorcycle Wednesday.

The bike went missing from River Line in Harwich Township, but was recovered the next morning at a McNaughton Avenue address in Chatham.

Police arrested a 41-year-old Chatham-Kent man for the theft. As a result, he’s facing theft and possession of stolen property charges.

B&E arrest

Police scooped up a man in Tilbury Thursday night to answer to break-in charges.

Officers spotted the man about 11:40 p.m. on Michael Avenue in Tilbury.

The man was wanted on an outstanding warrant for the May 6 break and enter at Tilbury Memorial Park.

A 37-year-old Chatham-Kent man is charged with break and enter, theft and possession of stolen property.

Harassment charges

A Chatham man faces criminal harassment charges following an investigation Thursday.

Police say the man had been repeatedly following his ex-partner and showing up at their workplace and home.

A 50-year-old Chatham man was located and arrested. He is charged with criminal harassment.

Threats uttered, man charged

A domestic dispute led to police laying charges Thursday night.

At 10:16 p.m., police responded to Moonstone Crescent in Chatham for an intimate partner violence investigation.

Upon arrival, officer learned the man threatened to harm the woman and damaged her cell phone during a verbal argument.

A 32-year-old Chatham man is charged with uttering threats and mischief.

Bail violations

Police located the woman on Wallace Street in Wallaceburg shortly before 1 a.m. on Friday.

The officer confirmed the woman was wanted on an outstanding warrant for a 2023 bail violation investigation.

A 33-year-old Walpole Island woman faces the following charges: failing to attend court, three counts of failing to comply with a release order, five counts of failing to comply with an undertaking.
