A Walpole Island man is dead following a head-on collision Wednesday morning in Wallaceburg.
Chatham-Kent police say the crash took place shortly before 10 a.m. at the intersection of Main/Murray Street and Margaret Avenue.
A vehicle heading east on Margaret veered into the westbound lane and hit a tow truck head on.
The driver of the eastbound vehicle, a 73-year-old Walpole Island man, was taken to hospital. First responders and medical personnel attempted life-saving measures but were unsuccessful, and he was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
