A Chatham man has to answer to charges after someone sprayed another person with a fire extinguisher Monday night.

Chatham-Kent police got the call shortly after 10 p.m. to attend a multi-unit residential building on King Street East in Chatham for a report of a disturbance.

The officers learned one person sprayed the other with a fire extinguisher.

Through investigation, police located the individuals and arrested the man. Officers confirmed the man was also wanted for failing to comply with a release order in a separate investigation.

A 20-year-old Chatham man was charged with mischief and failing to comply with a release order. He was transported to police headquarters and held pending a bail hearing.
