Impaired charges after collision

Yesterday afternoon, Chatham-Kent police responded to a motor-vehicle collision in the area of Victoria Avenue in Chatham. 

Through investigation the officer believed one of the males driving to be impaired by drug. 

A 35-year-old Chatham man was arrested and transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters for further tests. 

As a result, the male was charged with Operation While Impaired – Drugs.

Woman charged with B&E

Yesterday afternoon police responded to a break and enter at a residence on Wellington Street in Chatham. 

Through investigation a female was identified by police and located a short time later. 

The 31-year-old woman was arrested for break and enter commit theft, possession of stolen property and mischief. 

Man, woman charged in breach

Last night, an officer on general patrol in Chatham located a male and female together at a residence on Brock Street in Chatham. 

Police say the male was known to be on conditions not to associate or communicate with the female. 

A 34-year-old male was arrested for failing to comply. 

A 32-year-old female was arrested for facilitating a breach.

 Warrant arrest

Early this morning, an officer on general patrol in the area of Bluewater Line in Wallaceburg located a male who was known to be wanted on a warrant for failing to attend. 

The 33-year old male was arrested on the strength of the warrant.
