Conditions breach
Apparently, some people just don’t listen.
As previously released, on Monday, a local man was arrested and charged with harassing his ex-girlfriend via Facebook.
The man was released from custody with several conditions. One of those conditions stated that he was not to communicate with the woman.
Last night, the man sent another message to the woman using Facebook messenger.
A 41-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with failing to comply with his release conditions. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Theft charges
Yesterday, Chatham-Kent police responded to a theft complaint at a business on Keil Drive in Chatham.
Through investigation, police located the man a short time later, still in possession of the stolen items.
A 30-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested and charged with theft and possession of stolen property.
Accident
Yesterday morning, police responded to a two-vehicle collision on Grand River Line between Town Line Road and Jacob Road.
No one was injured.
Total damage was estimated at $30,000.
A 17-year-old Chatham teen was charged with making a U-turn, when there was no clear view.
Tools stolen
Sometime late Monday night or early Tuesday morning, someone entered a storage unit on Sixth Street, causing about $200 damage. Once inside, the suspect(s) stole various tools, valued at $1,300.

Break and enter
Sometime between Oct. 17 and 26, someone forced their way into a home on O’Neil Street, causing about $50 damage.
Police continue to work with the family to determine what, if anything, was stolen.
