A 14th Chatham-Kent resident has died as a result of COVID-19.
CK Public Health reports there are now eight people in hospital battling the virus.
Active cases in the municipality rose by two today to 37, with four new cases reported against one resolved.
A total of 41,153 Chatham-Kent residents have received at least one vaccination against COVID-19 as well.
Provincially, for the second straight day, new cases reported were below 2,000, this time at 1,588. The seven-day average is down to 2,183.
According to CTV News, Canada on track to surpass the U.S. in the proportion of the population vaccinated with one dose this week.
Based on the current vaccination rate nationally, that would bring the total of Canadians vaccinated with a single dose to approximately 48 per cent.
