Weapon, drug charges

Chatham-Kent police responded to a domestic dispute involving a male and female in Chatham on the weekend. 

Police say the male was accused of harassing his ex-girlfriend and was arrested for multiple counts of criminal harassment. 

Officers searched the male incident to arrest and located a switchblade, an amount of suspected fentanyl, baggies, a scale and baking powder.

He was additionally charged with, possession of a prohibited weapon, possession of weapon contrary to order, possession for the purpose of trafficking and Breach of Probation.

Theft near Thamesville

Chatham-Kent police are looking for information regarding a theft near Thamesville.

Sometime between Aug. 29 and 30, someone attended a residence on Cider Mill Line and took an olive coloured 16-foot fishing boat, an Evinrude outboard motor and trailer.

Break and enter in Chatham Township

Police are looking for information regarding a break and enter in Chatham Township.

Sometime between Aug.t 29 at 5 p.m. and Aug. 30 at 6 a.m., someone entered a barn on North River Line. 

The suspect(s) took two Mastercraft drills and four 20-inch Dodge Ram stock tires.

B&E in Wallaceburg

A male attended an apartment on Thomas Avenue Wallaceburg Friday. He entered the apartment from an unlocked bedroom window. 

When the resident came home, police say the male refused to leave and the police were called. 

Break and Enter in Wheatley 

Police are looking for information regarding a break and enter in Wheatley.

On Aug. 31, sometime between midnight and 3:00 a.m., someone entered a shed on Victoria Street South and removed a yellow 2005 Suzuki RMZ 250 dirt bike.

The male was arrested for break and enter.

Breach and warrant

On Aug. 30, police responded to a business in Wallaceburg after a complaint was received about a male party being there that was on conditions not to be there.

The man was located in the parking lot and was arrested for breach and an outstanding warrant for theft and possession. 

The man was transported to police headquarters and held for bail.

You’re not supposed to be there 

Police responded to a domestic disturbance in Chatham on the weekend involving a male and female. 

The male attended the female’s address and the female would not let him in. 

Police say the guy began banging on the window until it broke. 

Officers arrived on scene and arrested the male for mischief and breaching of a release order, as he was previously released from custody with conditions not to attend the female’s address.
