Chatham-Kent police snapped up a couple of break and enter suspects on Monday.
In the first case, police say a citizen flagged down a police cruiser about 8 a.m. yesterday on Grand Avenue East in Chatham to report a suspicious man leaving a property under construction.
Cops flooded the area. The suspect saw them, and fled on foot, but was arrested after a short pursuit.
A search revealed he had various tools and crystal meth in his possession.
A 47-year-old Chatham man is charged with break and enter, possession of break-in tools, and drug possession.
Three hours later, police responded to a call at Picard Construction on Park Avenue West in Chatham. Someone stole about $25 in copper wire.
A 39-year-old Chatham man is charged with break and enter and possession of property obtained by crime.
