One person is dead and another in hospital following a single-vehicle crash north of Wallaceburg early this morning.
Chatham-Kent OPP said the crash occurred shortly before 3 a.m. on Highway 40 north of Dufferin Avenue. A southbound GMC Jimmy left the road and rolled, winding up in the ditch on the other side of the road.
One of the two occupants was ejected, police said, and was pronounced dead at the scene. The second person was taken to hospital.
The technical traffic collision team is investigating the crash, and Highway 40 between Langstaff Line and Dufferin Avenue will be closed for much of the morning.
