Late in the evening of September 16, 2015, Chatham-Kent Police and Ambulance attended a drinking establishment on Richmond St, in response to an altercation that occurred outside between two women. It was learned that the victim and accused were known to each other and were previously involved in a dispute several years ago.
Apparently the 35 year old Chatham woman couldn’t let go of the beef and attacked the 40 year old female outside of the bar. She grabbed the victim’s hair and started punching her, threw her to the ground, and continued to punch and kick the victim.
The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries to her head, back, hand and ribs. Another female stepped in to try and stop the fight, but was violently shoved from behind by the aggressor as well.
The suspect was located in the evening of September 18, 2015, and arrested for Assault Causing Bodily Harm and Assault. She was processed and released with a future court date.
