Two people will get their days in court to answer to charges of possession of heroin.
The OPP pulled over a Pontiac Grand Am about 11 a.m. Monday on the eastbound 401 near the Dillon Side Road overpass.
Police say the officer discovered the passenger was in possession of a controlled substance. During the arrest, police say the passenger resisted and a scuffle ensued, before the officer regained control and slapped on the cuffs.
Police say the passenger had a small amount of heroin on him, and the officer found more in the car.
As a result, Heather Haggett, 31, of Calgary, is charged with possession of heroin, as well as speeding.
Jacob Furer, 35, of no fixed address is charged with possession of heroin and resisting a peace officer.
