A veteran Chatham-Kent police sergeant is facing 50 fraud charges.
Sgt. Robert Mugridge is charged with 47 counts of fraud under $5,000 and three counts of fraud over $5,000.
Chatham-Kent Police Chief Dennis Poole asked the London Police Service to investigate last July.
Mugridge will appear in court in Chatham Mar. 24. He remains suspended from duty and will face additional charges under the Police Services Act, police say.

Yeah, screw the whole "innocent until proven guilty" bullshit, right? Let's close down all the courts! Waste of time, right? Fire all the judges! Actually, let's just get rid of the police and look after ourselves, right? Sheesh… SMH.
Let's let the courts do their job, then we can express ourselves; loud and clear.
Dirty cop. he'll be wearing that name as a badge for the rest of his life. one of the few that make the rest look bad.
Cops are human beings – they can screw up and are held accountable. A little compassion for his family would be nicer than all the hate.
Oh hell !! The only difference between him and a lot of other people is he got caught.
Oh ya he will be getting paid until after the trial….good old tax payers flipping the bill….something wrong with that picture.
No need to crucify anyone, but every day cops decide who is guilty and who is not simply to take cases to court and/or reduce backlog of courts. EVERY DAY, ask me, I know. But again they are humans.
