A former CEO of the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA) is looking for work.
Ken Tremblay, who left the CKHA in January of 2010 to take a similar position with the Peterborough Regional Health Centre (PRHC), has parted ways with that employer.
Alan Wotherspoon, chair of the board of directors for the PRHC, made the announcement today.
“On behalf of the board of directors, I would like to thank Ken Tremblay for his service to the PRHC,” Wotherspoon said in a press release. “Under his stewardship, the PRHC has provided the people of our community with quality, stable health-care services and achieved a more sustainable position for the hospital for the long term.”
In an article in The Peterborough Examiner, Wotherspoon refused to say if Tremblay quit or was fired.
“It’s a human resources issue that must be kept totally confidential,” he told The Examiner.
Tremblay, meanwhile, issued a release of his own to Peterborough and area media.
“Healthcare executives serve at the pleasure of the owners, the board of directors. When the board extended my contract in May, I was very excited about my next four years at PRHC and the possibilities and opportunities that were on the cusp of being realized at this great organization. However, in order to achieve these ambitious goals, the requisite, unequivocal belief and confidence by the board of directors in their leader is fundamental,” he said in the release.
Wish you were still at ckha!!!!!!!!!!!!
Looks like Karma caught up to good old Ken in the end. After so many people lost jobs because of him, he finally got the boot himself.
