A Tuesday morning break-in in Wallaceburg has led to charges against a Wallaceburg man.

Chatham-Kent police say someone broke into a business on Baseline road in Wallaceburg.

The complainant observed a male suspect on video surveillance entering the premises.

The individual was seen wearing a hoodie and carrying a backpack, into which he placed several items.

On Wednesday afternoon, police made an arrest as their suspect left a residence on Agnes Street.

A Wallaceburg man, 34, is charged with breaking and entering, possession of stolen goods and failing to comply.

B&E arrest in Chatham

A Leamington man has to answer to charges after someone just wouldn’t leave when they were asked to go.

Police say shortly after midnight, they were called for an unwanted person complaint on Mary Street in Chatham.

Police say earlier in the night, the suspect made unwelcome advances toward a friend, causing discomfort.

At midnight, the complainant and his friends asked the man to leave. After initially resisting, he exited, but then returned and forcibly kicked the door, damaging the locking mechanism, and entered without permission, police say.

A 44-year-old Leamington man is charged with breaking and entering with intent to commit an indictable offence.
