Assault charge

A septuagenarian faces intimate partner violence charges after a couple’s clash turned violent.

Police say on Friday evening, a couple, both in their 70s, were arguing in Dover Township. It escalated and the man allegedly struck the woman.

The woman, 70, suffered visible injuries to her head, police say.

The husband, 71, faces a charge of assault causing bodily harm.

Crash leads to impaired charges

A Chatham woman is charged with impaired driving in the wake of a two-vehicle collision Friday night in Chatham.

Police say the mishap occurred in a parking lot on Grand Avenue West in Chatham.

Police say one of the drivers showed signs of impairment, and that she failed a breath test.

A Chatham woman, 31, is charged with impaired driving.
