A Chatham man has to answer to mischief charges after someone damaged a Cybertruck in a parking lot in Chatham Tuesday afternoon.
Police were called shortly before 4 p.m. to the parking lot of a business on St. Clair Street.
Police say someone keyed the Tesla truck while shouting racial slurs at the vehicle’s owner.
Officers investigated and found their suspect at the intersection of St. Clair Street and McNaughton Avenue.
During the arrest, police say the man spat at one of the officers.
A 27-year-old Chatham man is charged with mischief and assaulting a peace officer.
