CK Public Health reports two new measles exposure sites in Chatham-Kent.
Both are in Wallaceburg. The first is at the Tim Horton’s on Dufferin Avenue on March 18, while the second is within the Bethel Church Youth Group on McNaughton Avenue on March 21.
If you were present during these timeframes and are not up-to date with your vaccinations, CK Public Health officials ask that you call their offices at 519-352-7270, ext. 5902.
If you are experiencing symptoms of measles and need to visit a health-care provider, emergency department or walk-in clinic, call first and tell them you have had an exposure and measles symptoms, officials urge.
Symptoms can include a fever, runny nose, cough, drowsiness, irritability, and red eyes. A red rash appears on the face three-to-seven days after the start of the above symptoms. The rash may start from the face and progress down the body.
