It’s Workforce Week in Chatham-Kent.

From now until March 5, the municipality’s CK Jobs team is working to empower employers and job seekers within Chatham-Kent.

Throughout the week, there will be in-person and virtual events aimed at providing resources for residents to help find jobs, apprenticeships, or start a new career, municipal officials said. There will also be seminars for local businesses on talent attraction and retention supports.

The weeklong event culminates on March 5 with the Workforce Week Job Fair at the John D. Bradley Convention Centre in Chatham from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. The event will host a variety of employers, and job seekers will have the chance to investigate job opportunities.

“The Workforce Week Job Fair is the perfect place to get your foot in the door,” said Matt Keech, program manager for C-K’s employment and social services department, in a media release. “We are excited to be able provide this opportunity within the Municipality of Chatham-Kent and are proud to support individuals who are ready to take the next step in their careers.”
