In a ceremony at the Civic Centre, country music legend and Merlin native Michelle Wright was presented with a pencil drawing, created by local artist and Chatham-Kent Secondary School student Lucy Thrift.
During her visit home, Wright also served as grand marshall of the Chatham Santa Claus Parade and had a snow plow “Snow Wright” named in her honour by the Municipality of Chatham-Kent.
