Kids can learn to curl thanks to a partnership between the Chatham-Kent Public Library and the Sydenham Community Curling Club.

This program will take place at the club, located at 7379 N River Line in Wallaceburg.

An interactive storytime will be followed by an opportunity for kids, aged five to eight, to learn the basics of curling on the ice with SCCC’s Little Rocks instructors.

The club will host two sessions Nov. 30. The first takes place from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. and the second from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

It is directed for kids aged five to eight, but all are welcome. Only children over the age of five, with a signed waiver, will be permitted on the ice.

Children who are going on the ice must have clean indoor shoes and a helmet.

Activities will be available for younger siblings or those who do not want to go on the ice.

For more information or to register, call 519-354-2940 or contact your local library branch.
