The Municipality of Chatham-Kent is hosting its second public engagement session Nov. 12 online on the development of an updated Parks & Recreation Master Plan.
The purpose of the session is to provide a short presentation on the Draft Master Plan Vision and Strategic Directions followed by an interactive session to collect feedback, receive comments, and answer questions.
This session will be held virtually on Microsoft Teams from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Anyone wishing to take part can use meeting ID: 211 560 885 942 and the passcode: 96tuq4
The Master Plan will provide a framework for the municipality to identify and prioritize the delivery, upgrading, divestment, or new development of parks and recreation infrastructure, services, and programs to meet the needs of residents over the next 10 years.
The previous Parks & Recreation Master Plan was adopted in 2010.
“We have had some great engagement from the community so far,” said Ian Clark, manager of Parks, Recreation and Cemeteries in a media release. “This is the public’s chance to shape our 10-year strategy before the draft plan is brought before council in the spring.”
