A Chatham woman and man turned themselves in to face charges of theft after their faces were plastered all over the media.
In the wake of gas thefts in Wallaceburg, Ridgetown and Charing Cross from mid to late August, Chatham-Kent police released images pulled from surveillance footage of the suspects.
On Wednesday evening, two people surrendered to police.
A 34-year-old Chatham woman is charged with two counts of theft and two counts of possession of stolen property.
A 38-year-old Chatham man is charged with three counts of theft and three counts of possession of stolen property.
I totally agree with the police in publishing picture of perpetrators who break the law. This should be done for young adults as well. This had worked previously in years past . As seen by these gas thieves, they turned themselves in after their faces were publicized. There would be less young people breaking the law if their faces were made public.
