Woman charged with assault

A Tilbury woman faces assault charges in a case which police are saying is intimate partner violence.

Police were called about 8:15 a.m. to a residence on Bond Street in Tilbury for a disturbance.

Officers learned a woman was arguing with a man and it escalated when she assaulted him, police say.

A 23-year-old Tilbury woman is charged with assault.

Rural home rifled

Chatham-Kent police hope to hear from the public in regard to tips on who broke into a home on Knights Line Tuesday.

The break-in took place sometime between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Someone broke in and took several items from the residence.
