A Saturday morning crash on Highway 401 in Chatham-Kent sent two people to hospital, one of whom is fighting for their life, police report.
The single-vehicle rollover took place about 7:20 a.m., OPP say. The accident was so violent the vehicle crossed the centre median of the highway near Duart Road.
The driver suffered life-threatening injuries in the crash, while the passenger is also in hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
As a result of the accident, the westbound lanes of the 401 are closed between Furnival Road and Orford Road while police investigate and crews clear debris
