A Chatham woman faces charges after allegedly pointing a gun at her neighbours Thursday afternoon.

Chatham-Kent police got the call about 4:30 p.m. to attend a Wellington Street East address for a weapons investigation.

Officers learned a woman had been involved in an ongoing feud with her neighbour.

The woman approached the neighbours with a long gun accusing them of theft, police say. As the argument escalated, the woman raised the gun, pointing it at the individuals, police say.

Officers arrested the woman without incident. The firearm was seized and determined to be a pellet gun.

A 40-year-old Chatham woman is charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and pointing a firearm.
