A Wednesday morning arrest led to a Chatham-Kent man getting hauled off to the Southwest Regional Detention Centre .
Police say officers spotted a man on St. Clair Street in Chatham and realized he was wanted on several outstanding warrants for breach of probation and failing to attend court in relation to a March 2023 break-and-enter investigation in Chatham.
A 36-year-old Chatham-Kent man was arrested and transported to police headquarters, where he was held pending a bail hearing. He faces break-and-enter, failing to comply with a probation order and two counts of failing to attend court charges.
He’s in the regional jail until his next court appearance Friday.
