An afternoon head-on collision on Longwoods Road near Thamesville claimed the life of a Dresden man Monday.
The collision took place about 4:30 p.m. between Dew Drop Road and Huff’s Side Road. Chatham-Kent police say a westbound vehicle veered into the eastbound lane, slamming into another vehicle.
The two passengers in the westbound vehicle and the driver of the eastbound one, the lone occupant, suffered minor injuries. However, the driver of the westbound vehicle, a 41-year-old Dresden man, had to be extricated. He was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
