Chatham-Kent police are seeking help from the public to piece together what happened to a man in the Thameslea Plaza earlier this month.

Back on June 5, a man was found with severe injuries and was taken to hospital. He remains in critical but stable condition, police say.

Police describe the man as a “victim” and a “pedestrian.” They say he wore a blue fleece jacket, denim shorts and black shoes on the morning in question.

“We are appealing to anyone who resides in or was traveling through the area of Grand Ave West in Chatham on June 5 between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m., to come forward if they have any information that may be relevant to the investigation,” police stated in a media release.

If you have any information regarding this incident or may have witnessed any suspicious activities during the mentioned time period, police ask that you contact Det. Const. Mark VanderGriendt at 519-436-6600 ext. 80207 or markvan@chatham-kent.ca.  You can provide information anonymously by submitting a tip through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
