A West Lorne man had his vehicle impounded on Thursday and must now answer to drug trafficking charges following a traffic stop in Chatham.
Chatham-Kent police say they pulled a vehicle over on Grand Avenue East in Chatham as part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation.
A search during the arrest revealed the man was in possession of fentanyl, cocaine and methamphetamine, with an estimated street value over $45,000, police say. He was also in possession of digital scales, packaging materials, and approximately $2,500 in Canadian currency.
On top of that, officers confirmed he didn’t have a valid driver’s license.
As a result, a 27-year-old West Lorne man is charged with three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and four counts of operating a motor vehicle while prohibited.
