Youth reports his own violation

Police got a rare visit where a suspect reported to officers they had violated their release conditions.

On Monday morning, the youth, police say, showed up at police headquarters and turned himself in.

Police say the teen was released by the court in late April with conditions to not be outside of his residence without his surety.

On Monday, the youth showed up and told police he had violated that condition.

The 16-year-old male was arrested and held for a bail hearing.
