B&E on Marsh Line

Someone broke into a barn on Marsh Line near Chatham overnight and made off with numerous items police say.

The thieves stole a riding lawnmower, a gas generator, an air compressor, and a quantity of alcohol.

The investigation is ongoing.

Warrant arrests

After a busy weekend, Monday proved to apparently be relatively quiet for Chatham-Kent police, with five people arrested on outstanding warrants. Of those five, police  released information in regard to three of these to the media.

Police arrested a Chatham woman, 29, on Monday morning on King Street in Chatham.

No details on the charges were released.

Another 29-year-old Chatham woman got scooped up by police in the afternoon on Tweedsmuir Avenue in Chatham.

Police did not release details on these charges.

On Monday afternoon, police arrested a 32-year-old Chatham man near the intersection of Sheldon Avenue and Cornhill Street.

Again, no details on those charges were released.
