A Chatham senior citizen is facing charges for allegedly luring a child online.
In March, police say officers from the Chatham-Kent police Internet Child Exploitation Unit began an investigation relating to the man luring a child under the age of 16 years of age for a sexual purpose while using various social media platforms.
On April 3, police arrested the man in Chatham.
Police say the victim has been identified and has been offered the necessary support.
The incident comes just days after Chatham-Kent police arrested another Chatham man for possessing and distributing child pornography.
