A local man is facing charges following a fire Saturday in Wallaceburg.
Fire broke out at a building on Wills Street Saturday night shortly before 10 p.m.
Firefighters put out the blaze and declared the cause as arson.
The incident was turned over to the Chatham-Kent Police Service’s criminal investigation branch.
Investigators identified a suspect, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
On Wednesday, police arrested a 44-year-old Chatham-Kent man in Wallaceburg.
He is charged with arson – disregard for human life.
