A warranted arrest
At 1:18 p.m. Tuesday, police responded to Raleigh Street in Chatham for a theft investigation.
Upon arrival, officers located a woman and confirmed she was wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court. She was arrested and transported to police headquarters.
A 37-year of Chatham woman was charged with failing to attend court and mischief. She was held pending a bail hearing.
Passed out behind the wheel
A Chatham woman faces impaired driving charges after police say she was found unconscious in the driver’s seat of a parked vehicle.
The incident took place about 4:20 p.m. Tuesday on Richmond Street in Chatham.
Officers checked on her well-being and believed the woman was impaired by an intoxicating substance, so they arrested her.
A 31-year-old Chatham woman was charged with impaired driving by drugs and failure/refusal to comply with the demand.
Missed court dates
Back in early November, police arrested and charged a woman with obstructing a peace officer.
She was released with a court date of Dec. 4. When the woman failed to attend for a scheduled court appearance, a warrant was issued for her arrest.
On Tuesday afternoon, the woman attended the Ontario Court of Justice and was arrested.

On Tuesday afternoon, police went to Jeffrey Street in Chatham. They located a man and confirmed he was wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court.
A 54- year-old Chatham man currently faces the following charges: failing to attend court and failing to comply with a probation order.
